Long-distance relationships are the most challenging part of any relationship, as you can’t feel each other’s heartbeats or breaths when hugging. This makes it easy for friction and misunderstandings to arise over the phone.

Without regular communication, the relationship can grow increasingly distant. Long-distance relationships are fragile, but once you’ve weathered them, your love will grow stronger.

Only by trusting and cherishing this hard-earned bond can your relationship endure. So, what symptoms often precede a long-distance relationship?

01. Unnecessary misunderstandings always arise across the screen.
In a long-distance relationship, regardless of the size of the misunderstanding, it’s crucial to address it promptly. Otherwise, it will only escalate. This can create a deep rift and easily lead to the disintegration of the relationship.

If you’re constantly unwilling to trust your partner and constantly suspicious, the long-distance relationship has effectively reached its end. Over time, misunderstandings deepen, and those seemingly minor misunderstandings gradually escalate into major disasters.

If you constantly have unnecessary misunderstandings, no matter how you explain them across the screen, it means you may be breaking up.

02. Constant Cold Wars
When two people are in different places, it’s crucial to maintain good interaction and communication, because you can no longer touch each other; your voices may be different. Focus on the only warmth you can offer.

If you frequently engage in “cold wars,” it’s a sign that a breakup is imminent. Since you’ve chosen to be with this person, no matter how far apart we are in real life, never stop connecting with each other.

Don’t harbor grievances, and avoid arguments with your partner. Long-distance relationships are painful, but mutual understanding is sweeter. If you frequently choose the silent treatment in a long-distance relationship, your relationship will gradually grow distant.

03. You Can’t Stay Together Forever
If two people are no longer willing to be honest with each other and unwilling to invest the necessary passion in their relationship, they will start to treat each other perfunctorily, arguing at every turn. Or, if they become indifferent and resentful, your long-distance relationship will only become increasingly difficult.

If you lack common ground and haven’t taken the time to properly communicate, it simply means your long-distance relationship is facing a major test.

Learn to open your heart and be honest with each other. If you understand how to think from your partner’s perspective and actively integrate into their lives, your relationship will become more harmonious and last longer.
